Fish Fry News Alert

Dear OLBS Families,
Below you will read an e-mail submitted by Cheryl A. Deth who attended our school Fish Fry.  It is a testimonial, once again, to show why we continue to believe in a Catholic Education, our OLBS students and in OLBS Spirit!
"I recently attended a parish fish fry. I am writing to tell you how wonderful your
school children treated my dinner party. They were so polite and well mannered. I
loved that they were all dressed in their school uniforms. They tended to our every
need whether it was needing a beverage, serving dessert or cleaning our plates and
all with smiles on their faces. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and it was delicious
as well. As a parent who has grown children who attended Infant of Prague School and
Holy Angels Academy, I am a firm believer in Catholic Education and that evening
proved once again why I believe so much in it. Keep up the wonderful work you are
doing with today's youth! It is certainly paying off and will continue to do so in the
future.
May God continue to Bless you and your school children."

As part of the Diocese of Buffalo's Revitalization plan for Catholic Schools, we would like to inform you that Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament School will remain open followng the current school year.  This decision was reached after much thoughtful discussion as well as fact-based determinations by the Diocese.  We understand and respect the process as well as the decision from the Diocese.  We have had a long and proud history of educating this area's youth, and will continue to carry the torch of Catholic education for our area for future years to come.   We also understand that not all schools were able to remain open, and this may be a difficult time for many in our Diocese.  We welcome with open arms all of the students from area schools, and ask that everyone does their best to be inviting to all.

This decision does come with its share of changes as Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament School moves into the future.  At this point, we do not know exactly what those changes will be, but as we move through this process we will rely on the Diocese, and pass any and all information on to you as we learn it.

We would like to invite the families to be patient and work with us in this next step in Catholic education.  Your dedication to Catholic schools is very important for the future of the St. Martha Parish Community.

We will update you all as much as possible in the coming days, weeks, and months.  Anyone with any questions and concerns can reach out to our school at 685-2544 or the Diocese at 847-5520.
