K-2 students will be taught movement patterns and gross locomotor skills. These foundational skills will prepare them for sports and activities as they get older. Students of this age will follow the same curriculum and will play sports - however, games are modified to accommodate their ability/cognitive level.
Classes for students in grades 3-5 will be more skill-based, with low to intermediate level sport concepts and strategies emphasized.
Students in grades 6-8 will participate in a game-based approach. This means that students will not just learn the skills, but focus will be on intermediate to advanced level concepts and strategies. In other
words, their lessons will be oriented around learning the game by actually playing it.
