Spanish 6
Spanish 6 is meant to give students a taste of Spanish language and culture. Students will learn a variety of vocabulary that they will use for speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Some major topics of study that will be explored in this course include: the Spanish alphabet, numbers, colors, calendar, weather, greetings and introductions, gender of nouns, noun and adjective agreement, present tense verb conjugation, expressing likes and dislikes, describing where they live, and household chores. In addition to the Spanish language, students will learn about the history, people, and cultures of Spanish-speaking countries. Students will concentrate on Mexico and Spain.

Spanish 7
Spanish 7 is a Spanish course that builds off of the language skills learned and acquired in Spanish 6. Students will continue to use their Spanish speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills to improve their fluency and proficiency. Some major topics of study that will be explored in this course include: expressing possession, describing family members, describing people and their clothing, describing school (classes, objects, schedules, etc.),telling time, expressing emotion, discussing sports and activities, describing the weather, and stating opinions. In addition to the Spanish language, students will also learn about the history, people, and cultures of Spanish speaking countries, with an emphasis on Puerto Rico.

Spanish 8
Spanish 8 is an intermediate-advanced Spanish course that builds off of the language skills learned and acquired in Spanish 6 and 7. Students will continue to improve their fluency and proficiency of their Spanish speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. Some major topics of study that will be explored in this course include asking for and giving directions, buying and selling goods, describing daily routines, describing your house, giving orders, planning a party, identifying and describing professions.In addition to the Spanish language, students will also learn about the history, people, and cultures of Spanish-speaking countries. Students will complete a research project on a famous Hispanic person.
