World History - Grade 6

At the Grade 6 Level, the course will begin with the History, culture, and legacy of Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome. Following the Global model, the students will study the History of mankind up to the fall of Communism in the 1990's.
At times, at both the Grade 5 and Grade 6 levels, the students will be encouraged to analyze History, looking for repetitive patterns and trends that contribute to the "History" of the future.

American History - Grades 7 & 8

This is a two year survey course in the History of our American Republic. The course of study begins with the migrations & development of the earliest Americans, continues with great milestone events in our History, through eras of greatness to times of uncertainty, challenge, and change.

The students will study the American character at home and abroad and learn how our determination and drive have shaped the world we live in today. In addition to studying the facts, students are taught to and are strongly encouraged to critically analyze history, observing trends that often repeat themselves in the future. Students are given the following as food for thought: "Those who do not know History are destined to repeat it." (Edmund Burke 1729-1797)
